Add ability to set 'noindex' in page SEO settings

  • In the 'Settings>SEO' editor for pages, I would like there to be a checkbox for setting the page to have a 'noindex' meta value added

  • As an example, we are running lead gen campaigns on Facebook, however collecting the lead directly within the form on Facebook. After submit, we send the user to a page with a whitepaper download. Facebook doesn't allow the PDF link to be used, so we need to send the user to a web page with the PDF available for download.

  • As this campaign is behind a form, we do not want organic search to drive traffic to this page, so it needs to be hidden from indexing.

  • I have five pages like this currently, so the setting would be useful. Right now, I have cloned the theme file and added the noindex meta to the clone.

What is the business process you are trying to achieve?

The ability to create "hidden" pages is described on our Knowledge portal here.

Thanks for submitting this suggestion Dario.

I will review the request with the engineering team to assess the feasibility of adding a setting such as this.
