Hi Steve,
You are correct. For example, if an applicant was searching under the Healthcare/Social services category, it would be helpful if they were able to sort the columns on the page alphabetically. They would be able to group the jobs by department, title, or even employment type alphabetically. It also would help if they could sort the close date column by newest or oldest. While they can use the search features on the left hand side of the screen, in some cases if they want to look at all the jobs under one category or all of our jobs listings at once, it would be helpful to have an option to sort the columns for a better user experience. Hopefully this helps? If not, please let me know. Thank you!
Thanks for taking the time to provide this suggestion Brandi.
I want to make sure I correctly understand your idea before discussing with the team. I believe that you are proposing that within a job listing block on the careers site functionality is added so that a visitor to the site can sort the results based on a particular column (such as category in your example), rather than by the standard sort order which has been configured against the block in the CMS editor.
Is that interpretation correct?
Assuming it is, are you able to expand on any specific scenarios / use cases where you anticipate this being utilised by visitors to your site please.
Thanks in advance for the additional insight.
